On February 7-17 Riga will host “Vienna Classics” music festival, aimed to popularise the music of classical Viennese School composers: uncle of classicism Joseph Haydn, his follower and friend Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as well as Ludwig van Beethoven.

Concerts will be held in different concert halls around Riga: Small Guild House, Great Guild Houses, St. John’s Church and Spikeri Concert Hall. Programme will also include pieces by Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Richard Strauss performed by the best musicians of Latvia, Netherlands, Russia, Israel, Lithuania and Austria.
