The final day of Tallin’s participation in European Capital of Culture project is scheduled for 22 December. A dozen of museums like Photo Museum, City Museum, Peter I House Museum and others will open their doors for visitors absolutely free of charge at 12:00. Some of museums will also offer exciting Christmas workshops on Xmas decoration and presents.

The Design and Architecture Gallery (Pärnu mnt 6) invite guest of Tallinn and citizens to a unique art and design event – Gingerbread Mania: The Time Machine.

Stanislav Moshkov’s photo exhibition ’Zero Boring Days’ will be open in the Experimental Gallery in Freedom Square tunnel and along the Culture Kilometre.


The night will end at 22:00-04:00 in Kultuurikatel and Energia Discovery Centre with the final party of Club 2011 series, where the different events of the year will come together as one.

The year of European Capital of Culture in Tallinn will come to the official end in the evening at one of the key venues of the year, Seaplane port. At the reception in the newly renovated hangars the title will be handed over to European Capitals of Culture 2012 Guimarães in Portugal and Maribor in Slovenia. The ceremony will be immersed in Mart Koldits’ underwater and above-water world, entitled ‘Echo Stories’.
