Riga International Airport lost 180 000 passengers

Riga International Airport
Riga International Airport in the first half of 2012 handled 2.241 million passengers, almost 180,000 passengers less than during the same period in 2011.

The biggest passenger flow in the second quarter was from German airports – 171,700 passengers (+4.3%), UK – 128.4 thousand passengers (-15.4%), Russia – 119.5 thousand passengers (13, 5%).

It is worth noting that the reduction in the number of passengers in the Latvian capital’s airport is almost equal to the number of passengers, which in the first half lost Latvian national airline airBaltic.

The airport has 17 airlines flying to 79 destinations.
